its an ancient temple much more older than gurdwara .its reference is mentioned in PURANAS VIZ. SAKAND PURAN ,VARAHA PURAN NARAD PURAN AS WELL AS IN AADI GARANTHAS.This sarovar was created by BHAGWAN Badrivishal on the request of various Devtas with the help of his SHEL Darnd . Every YEAR women of BHOTIA Tribe visit this shrine during the month of september.
