Historical, Tourism and Religous importance of Adwani, Ranigarh and Aadeshwar temple Historical Importance: Ranigarh has not only played a vital role in the history of Garhwal region of Uttarakhand state but it is also playing a great role as a tourist destination. In the year 1804 Rajmata, patrani of Raja Upendra Shah went to exile in order to save his son Pradeep Shah. Chief General, Puriya Nauthani took care of the Rajmata and provided her security even in the toughest circumstances during her exile period.

Natural Importance: Adwani Ranigarh showers the tourists with varied natural creations from where you can see the enchanting snow clad peaks of Himalayan range, terrace fields, Pauri town and dense forests as well. Seasonal and migratory birds can also be easily seen at this place and the place is an ideal destination for bird watching. The place is also rich in Ayurvedic Roots and plants from which are capable of curing many diseases. Rhododendron the state flower of Uttarakhand is found in abundant quantity here. Deodar and Pine trees have also covered a large area across the 1km trek from Adwani. The natural surroundings of the region adds charm to the place and it also provides peace and tranquillity.

Religious Importance: There is a temple dedicated to God Aadeshwar on the cliff of the peak which was build in the year 2002. This temple is visited my numerous devotees and the place holds great religious importance. The peaks on which some of the famous temples like Chndrabadni, Neelkanth, Danda Naagraaja, Khairalinga, Aekeshwar Mahadev, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Tungnath, Kalimath, Devalgarh are situated, can be seen from Aadeshwar temple.
